I grew up around divorce. My parents, my relatives, people around me. I saw what it does to kids when the two people who are supposed to hold things together can't hold each other together.

I spent a year at Sesobel working with children as a psychologist. I thought that's where the fix was. Help the kids, protect the kids. But the more I worked, the more I realized the kids weren't the starting point. Their parents were. Parents who got into relationships they didn't understand, repeated patterns they never looked at, and passed everything down without knowing it.

I kept thinking about it. Most people spend years trying to undo childhood damage. What if the damage didn't have to happen in the first place? What if we helped people enter healthy relationships and prevent negative outcomes?

I've seen it clinically, hundreds of times. When two people are good together, the whole family is good. The kids are good. Everything works. And when it falls apart, everything around it falls apart too.

So I built Rinaya. I didn't want to wait for people to get traumatized to help them. I wanted something focused. Clinical Psychology to actually understand what's going on, but coaching structure so things move forward quickly.
